Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
In this week’s News from Headquarters video, I share with you a somewhat embarrassing story.
It’s embarrassing because it reveals a huge weakness in my life with which I’ve been struggling for the last several years and last week…I had to face it head-on.
You see, in early 2018 I was diagnosed with PTSD after a series of personally traumatic events in my life.
Since then, the PTSD has resulted in multiple frustrating and often humiliating side effects. I struggle in crowds (both big and small). I have difficulty being around people I don’t know well. I avoid unfamiliar circumstances to the point of sometimes coming off like a recluse.
But when an opportunity presented itself to attend the 2022 March for Life in Washington, DC, last week, I knew I had to turn this over to God and take a huge leap of faith that landed me right outside my comfort zone.
In this week’s News from Headquarters I share the surprises that happened along the way, and how God will never let you carry the heavy crosses in your life all on your own.
P.S. If you’d like to listen to the podcast I mentioned at the end of the video, you can find it right here.
