Reflecting on health scares, faith, and trust, we discuss Rosary Army’s mission and spiritual battles.
Finding Faith Amid Health Scares: Reflections on Memento Mori and Trust
Life often has a way of grounding us, reminding us of what’s most important. A recent health scare brought us face-to-face with our mortality and reaffirmed the urgency of living a life of faith and trust in God.
The unexpected event opened our eyes to the need for preparedness—not just spiritually but practically as well. From establishing a family communication plan to grappling with the lingering “what-ifs” of unexplained health events, the experience challenged us to detach from worldly fears while relying on God’s grace to guide us.
In November, the Church reminds us of the sobering reality of Memento Mori: “Remember you will die.” Yet this isn’t morbid. It’s a call to live intentionally, with our eyes fixed on heaven and our hearts ready to let go of what isn’t ours to hold forever.
We also discuss the importance of sacramental grace, particularly the Anointing of the Sick, and the ongoing battle against spiritual attacks. As we prepare for Rosary Army’s annual Giving Campaign, we’re reminded of our mission’s central message: “Make Them. Pray Them. Give Them Away.” Promoting the Rosary is about promoting a life centered on Christ, and we’re humbled to share this mission with you.
